7 Things To Never Wear Again

Was your new years resolution to dress better this year? Probably not, at least the people I know (myself included) our new year's resolution belonged somewhere in the health category.  With this new body we are all convinced we will have by the end of the year, I have come up with a list of things we should never put on them again.

1.)  Wedge Sneakers

Really guys, these just look ridiculous. A lot of people in the fashion industry would disagree with me but I am standing firm. I think they are tacky. Sneakers are supposed to be used for comfort, these do not look comfortable to me, nor could I work out in them. Wedges and Heels have a purpose of dressing up an outfit and making it more appealing.....these are doing the opposite for me.

2.) Sperry's

These have become a very casual shoe for women and I can't go anywhere without seeing someone wearing them.  They originally were the first mass produced shoe for boating, which is all fine, but today that is not what they are used for. I actually do not mind these shoes on men, I think they are a good easy option for a preppy mens look. Its the women's Sperry's that get me for some reason..why not put a cute pair of sandals or flats on, instead of these bulky tan things.

3.)  Cutout Crop Tops

Just....what even are these, Miley Cyrus?

4.) Uggs

This is a tough one, even for myself. I admit these shoes are so comfortable and warm, and I even admit to owning a pair. But they absolutely make any outfit that I wear have an immediate downgrade in the style department. Nothing about them is fashionable and I wont change my mind ever but Im trying my best to keep these comfy things in the perimeter of my house!

5.) Tacky Graphic Tee's

After middle school these things should just not happen.

6.) Yarn Bracelets

After age 10..these need to go. And the worst part is girls in college still wear them, and they are stained with dirt! Lovely.

A small list, I could go on for days but I will leave it at that. Agree? Disagree? Share with me your style Never's! Let me know in the comment section below!

Mixing texture and patterns Outfit Diary

Hey guys! So wow, I havent post in awhile, oops! I've been so busy with school I havent had time to put anything together! Today's outfit is something I threw together last minute, ive never worn...well anything I am wearing, Ive had a few of these pieces for a long time but just never wore them (except the necklace and earrings!) I really like mixing textures and patterns, it gives your outfit more depht and originality. You do have to be careful doing this, and im not saying every pattern and texture can be mixed! But it adds personality and really makes the outfit your own. Mixing this lace tank and floral shorts came together for a soft and suttle look. I added the brown leather jacket becuase it was raining but I could for sure go without it. The layering just adds something extra to the outfit. As far as shoes, I dont wear a lot of brown so I didnt have many options, I chose these light brown oxfords and added a lace polkadot sock for some more personality. As far as accessories, I added a gold and pearl necklace that I wear all the time, AND these SUPER special earrings made by my lovely cousin! They are so cute, light and elegant. I'm blessed to have such a talented cousin! Check out more of her things at https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/YourCustomCreations

First Outfit Diary!

So I thought about posting some outfit diaries every now and then
to hopefully give some inspiration! These were taken a few weeks
ago by my lovely photographer friend Kailey :) These have got to
be my favorite jeans, and the best part is they were only $20! Many
people I know absolutly hate high waisted...anything whether it be
shorts or pants, I really like shorts, and these are actually my first
pair of jeans in this style. I was sceptical at first but I love them now.
And of course you dont always have to wear them this way, they work
just as great as regular jeans with your shirt untucked! So if you were
just as sceptical as me, I say just go for it! It makes for a really chic
and put together look.
What I'm Wearing:
Cardigan- Charlotte Russe
Button Down: Marshalls
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Forever 21

Photographer: Kailey Deberry

First Post(finally)/ What you should know for Spring

SO I finally have come around to making a post! I couldnt decide what EXACTLY to do but I figured I would just wing it as I go :) With spring creeping up on us quickly its time to get our wordrobe together for the new season. Looking at the looks from spring/summer fashion week in September.. ive come up with the trends that are my favs this season. It was hard to narrow it down but heres the best ones!

BOLDS: What's spring without color? Time to take a break from the winter blacks (well at least for me, I always find myself in dark colors) and rock some neons for a bit. Im lovin these show stopping colors. Theres no better way to start off spring and bring in the carefree summer than with PINK! But since I have to get my black into outfits, pairing these colors with a black shirt or pant will make it pop....and of course I can have the best of both worlds :-)

STRIPES: Love the new and improved stripe look this season. I feel that stripes are a classic, and never outdated pattern that will continue to come back season after season. For spring runways thick stripes seemed to dominate in this area but I still love the thin look! Whether horizontal or vertical stripes can add a ton of personality to your outfit.

LACE: I just love lace. Whether it be detail or the whole garment its just perfect to me. Theres something so youthful, soft and pure about it. Im super excited its coming out to be a huge trend this season. Pairing lace shorts with a plain top and a chunky necklace would be the most eaisly put together look. With lace I love pastel colors but of course there has to be at least ONE black option!

LEATHER: Saving the best for last! I love love love leather. Warm weather leather, yes!  Living in florida, my favorite leather jacket is not ideal for spring but I will somehow make it work. However other pieces with leather details on them are bringing a little bit of edge to spring. With my style being edgy, I really lean toward this trend as being my favorite of the season.. its not your most obvious pairing so it was a huge surprise when so many designers sent leather down their spring
runways shows, but I was so happy :-)

Thanks for reading and I would love suggestions on other things I should post! Feel free to let me know:)
